Just 12 minutes by car or minibus from the Diving Station Reef Villa, our starting point for all the excursions to the sea, you reach Marsa Asalaya, a bay away from the resort, a free beach ideal for both snorkeling and diving, especially for beginners.

The entrance is directly from the beach, on a sandy bottom, the bottom goes down gently and in the first part of the dive is worth a walk in the prairie, where turtles often meet and, looking carefully, you can also find the sea horses.

North Reef

In the first 10 minutes of diving, on the north side, you stay at a depth between 2 and 10 meters where you can admire coral of every species and color, between bridesmaids, box fish, ball fish, scorpion fish, lyon fish, murene , trigonics, clown fish, then we reach the bottom at 20, 25 or 30 meters (maximum 18 for beginners), and climb this time to a height of about 12-8 meters, so we can admire the brightest and most colorful part of the reef.

South Reef

After crossing the prairie, to meet the many turtles that populate this bay, head to the south reef that looks like a lunar landscape, fascinating and full of small cavities in which, besides various kind of hens, sometimes it’s possible to find shark’s puppies. Scorpion fish, bat fish that sometimes accompany us for a long stretch of dive, murine, you can also see fascinating nudibrancs among the colorful acropore of sometimes amazing size.
